WORSHIPING TOGETHER AS A COMMUNITY

First and foremost, we worship God here! GOD IS FIRST at First Church!
First in our lives, first in our priorities, first in our hearts.

Just like an ember that only retains its warmth when surrounded by the fire of other embers, we understand our need for each other.  We know that while our relationship with God is personal, God calls us to be God’s community, and One in Christ–no matter our age, background, color, nationality or anything else that separates others. All are WELCOME here-
-and in worship all of us come together in His name!
Both worship experiences have an interactive children’s time with awesome takeaways for all!  Both celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month, and when the Bellaires play or the Glory Bees sing,
they share their gifts at both as well.
Each Sunday, we gather to be inspired, to gain new strength for the week, and to reconnect with each other and our Lord.

Traditional Service:
At the 8:45 service, the sound of the mighty pipe organ accompany our heart music:  the traditional hymns and songs of the faith many of us grew up on. The Chancel Choir offers their beautiful harmonies each Sunday, and once a month, we are delighted by our amazing bell choir, “The Bellaires”.

Contemporary Service:
Our heart music sounds like today’s Christian radio stations and we’re led by an awesome praise band. Video resources help our learning to be more experiential, and we tend to be a little more informal.
