Covid-19 Updates

Update on 12/16/20

Dear Church Family,

I would like to make you aware of a few important announcements regarding worship.

Sunday Services

Our church leadership has decided that we will resume in-person worship this coming Sunday, December 20 with both services at 8:45am and 11:00am. We are aware that many people are deeply missing the in-person connection and being able to gather in our church sanctuary to worship together. While we cannot safely expect church to look exactly like it did prior to the pandemic, our church leadership does hope to offer an option for those of you in this category, thus, we are making this option available. Online worship through Facebook and YouTube will still be offered and I would encourage you to continue to worship online with us at this time if you are able as seating capacity would be limited. For those coming to in-person worship, I would like to make you aware of the safety precautions that we will be taking during this risky time.

  • Remember to wear your masks and maintain social distancing (6 feet) both before, during, and after the church service. Everyone in the building will be abiding by these precautions, including our staff and volunteers.
  • There will be two pews roped off in between every available pew. Do sit 6 feet apart from other household groups.
  • There will not be a nursery option available at this time.
  • In an effort to limit contact, I (Pastor Isaac) will not be greeting at the door before or after services.

Christmas Eve Service

Christmas Eve Service this year will be offered online only. The service will go live at 5pm on December 24, and you can watch the service anytime after as well.

In addition, we are offering an outdoor candle lighting singalong of “Silent Night” at 7pm. You are invited to stand along the street right outside the church along Harvey Avenue, spread out 6 feet apart from other family groups with your masks on. Do bring your own candles and a lighter if you are able, if not, we will have candles available and a couple of fire pits for you to light your candles.

We invite you to bundle up and join us outside for this unique celebration of Christmas this year.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need any pastoral care. I pray that you will have a Christ-filled Christmas this season. As things do not look the same as they normally do, I often wonder of Mary and Joseph if they felt uncertain as they looked for a place to stay on their journey-ending up in a stable; I wonder how they experienced awe at Christ’s birth, even when their circumstances for His birth may not have been what they expected. I invite you to consider these things as well and invite you to practice awe, hope and trust as you celebrate Christ this year.

Emmanuel, God is with us,

Pastor Isaac
