Christmas Eve Offering
The Christmas Eve offering is an opportunity to reach out to our
community and world. The offering will be divided between the Wellington
Food Bank and Show Mercy International.
The Wellington Food Bank supports those who are in
need in our community. The Food Bank has served over
2,000 families in the Wellington, Peck, Mayfield, Argonia and Milan area.
Show Mercy International serves in the country of Uganda. In
2016 a team from the church went to Uganda and served for 3 weeks.
Show Mercy partners with the people in the surrounding area empowering
them to be the change in their country while sharing the gospel
of Jesus Christ. One of Show Mercy’s dreams was to provide care to
mothers in a safe, clean environment. This year they began
the last phase of fulfilling that dream as the construction
of the birthing center has begun. The next hope is
to provide education to children. This has begun in a
small way with a tutoring program called “The Bridge.”
The dream is to build a school in the future.
