A Little Extra
Our Thank Offering which is the box outside the sanctuary will be given to purchase food for the little Food Pantry on the east side of the church. Celebrate your birthday or a blessing by dropping some money in the box. We are always open to suggestions for the recipient of this offering. Please bring your ideas to Jan Korte (620-326-1843).
Confirmation Class
Confirmation class is just around the corner!
The class will begin February 27 at 6:30 p.m.. Pastor Andy
is excited to begin this study about the basics of the
Christian faith with the 8th grade students.

Sign Up For Summer Camp

Camp brochures are here! There are many camps available for grades 1st through 12th.
The church would like to help your children go to camp! Please note the following changes:
The church will pay $100 per camper if registration is received by May 1. (EXCEPTION:
The church will pay ½ the cost of Day Camp or Overnight Camp.) After May 1, assistance will be
limited to $50 per camper or until funds are exhausted.

Option 1: Register for the camp. Bring in a copy of your registration confirmation and pay the church office.
The church will then send in the full amount to Camp Horizon.

payment to the church office for reimbursement.
FYI: Horizon can take payments from either the parents or the church but not both.

of 15-20 to experience mission in various
missions in Oklahoma, Louisiana, Tennessee and Kentucky.

Grief Share
Mondays, Beginning February 11 12:00 p.m. –1:30 p.m.
GriefShare is a special weekly seminar/support group for people grieving the death of someone close. It’s a place where you can be around people who understand how you feel and the pain of your loss. At GriefShare, you’ll learn valuable information that will help you through this
difficult time in your life.

United Methodist Dollars for Scholars
Each year through the United Methodist Dollars for Scholars
program, the United Methodist Higher Education
Foundation provides $1,000 scholarships to United Methodist
students who have received a $1,000 scholarship
from their local United Methodist church to help them attend
a United Methodist-related college, university or seminary. This
church will award $500, parents may make up the difference for the
$1000. If you choose to apply, the signature page and check is
due to the office by February 8, 2019. More information can be

Wellington FUMC requires that all applicants fill out a local
FUMC application which is available in the church office.

One is called, “Books from the Pumpkin Patch!” Be sure to come in
and “pick” your favorite!
Dillon’s Youth Fundraiser
THANK YOU to all who have registered your Plus Card with the First
United Methodist Youth in the community rewards program! If you haven’t
registered your Dillons card please do!! The youth receive a percentage of the total spent.
HOW TO: If you have an online Dillons account simply log in and click
on the community tab. Then click on Community Rewards and follow the directions.
At Step 4 enter your organization’s number or name, First United
Methodist Youth, or type in our number UE324. If you do NOT have a Dillons
account you will need to create one. Just go to and create an
account, then go to Community Rewards
and follow the directions above.
Once the Dillons Plus Card is registered
the cash register receipt should
note your request.
Fifth Sunday Food Bank Collection
Donations will be collected during the month of September. Please leave your gifts in the church office or in the baskets in the overflow at any time during the month.
Items needed include peanut butter, dry beans, rice, pasta, mustard, ketchup, cereal, canned vegetables, canned soups, canned fruit, toilet tissue, diapers , etc…
